As Canada’s North and the entire Arctic are experiencing unprecedented change, research needs to maximize utilization of existing infrastructure while finding new opportunities to add new infrastructure while building capacity for sustained observations in the future. This session focuses on lessons learned by arctic researchers related to the need to have end-to-end planning for sustainable observing systems and building capacity. The session will focus on successful measures related to logistics, observation systems, data interoperability, and capacity building that can be applied to arctic research projects at all scales.
