Canada’s top Arctic researchers will gather in Vancouver for ArcticNet’s Annual Scientific Meeting to discuss some of the many issues surrounding climate change and modernization in the Arctic. The 5-day conference will explore the latest findings in Arctic research, from dwindling sea ice and changing wildlife habitats to community health and education, northern geopolitics and resource exploitation. Hosted by ArcticNet, a Network of Centres of Excellence of Canada, the ASM is Canada’s largest annual Arctic research gathering.

Media accreditation for the conference is reserved for members of the press (print, photo, radio, TV, film, online, and news agencies). Registration to attend conference sessions is free of charge to members of the media who are in possession of a valid, recognized press card. Freelance journalists must present a commissioning letter from a recognized news organization or publication. Please note that media accreditation does not include access to lunches or the Thursday evening banquet.
