Highlights from the Arctic Inspiration Prize at Arctic Change Conference

Québec City (Québec), December 15, 2017 - Last night at the Arctic Change conference in Quebec City, Kevin Kablutsiak, Executive Director of the Arctic Inspiration Prize (AIP) provided an overview of the two projects selected as finalists in the $1 million category of the 2017 Arctic Inspiration Prize – The Arctic Indigenous Wellness Project and From-the-Land – Food Ambassadors Program. One of these teams will be presented with the $1 million Arctic Inspiration Prize at the Northern Lights Business & Cultural Showcase in Ottawa on January 31.

Dr. Michel Allard receives $100,000 Weston Family Prize for Lifetime Achievement in Northern Research

International Arctic research community gathering in Quebec City for global Arctic Change 2017 Conference

Québec City (Québec), December 8, 2017 – ArcticNet announces details of Canada’s Arctic Change 2017 conference, to be held in Québec City from December 11-15, 2017. Nearly 1,500 Arctic researchers, Inuit, First Nations and Northern community representatives, government and non-government organizations, students, and industry stakeholders from around the world will convene to discuss global challenges and opportunities arising from climate change and modernization in the circum-Arctic.
